Meet Andria

Andria Yona writes cozy paranormal mysteries filled with small-town secrets, questionable decisions, unexpected magic, and the occasional… or more than occasional murder.

Her stories feature quirky characters who rarely behave themselves, charming and complicated heroes, and a certain opinionated cat who would like everyone to know that he is, obviously. the most important character.

Not to mention the smartest.

When she's not dreaming up witches, ghosts, and mysterious deaths, Andria can usually be found with a cup of coffee, a good book, or wondering why her characters refuse to follow the outline. She believes the best stories should make you laugh, keep you guessing, and leave you just a little bit suspicious of the person next door.

She writes the kind of mysteries she loves to read: clever, quirky, a little dark, and always with a touch of magic.

Welcome to her world, where magic, mystery, and mischief collide.

Where can I buy your books? All the usual places--Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Google.

Where do you get your ideas? Usually somewhere between “What if…?” and “That would be a terrible idea.” Which, conveniently, is where most good mysteries begin. Sometimes they arrive in bits and pieces. Sometimes screaming.

Do I need to read the books in order? For The Witches of Whisper Grove, yes. The mysteries are designed to stand on their own, but the characters, relationships, and magical secrets build throughout the series.

What's one thing readers might be surprised to learn about you? I'm 100% extrovert. And 100% hermit. I don't know.

Coffee or Tea? Blasphemy. Coffee. Always.

Are your books scary? Not really. There’s murder, ghosts, witches, and supernatural trouble—but the goal is cozy, not terrifying. Think small-town charm with a body count.

What's your favorite kind of mystery? Any, so long as it keeps me guessing.

Which character would you least like to have as a neighbor? Alex. She’s nuts and way too impulsive. She's also the most fun to write.

If you could have one magical ability, what would it be? Teleportation. Absolutely. I married a man who loves the journey as much as the destination. He’ll take a road trip to the bathroom. I utterly despise being stuck in a car with nothing productive to do. And I can’t sleep with someone else at the wheel—control freak. So, yes. Teleportation. Just think of all the wasted time I could better utilize!

Will there be more books set in Whisper Grove? In Whisper Grove, no. At least, that’s not in the works. As a scatterbrain, I reserve the right to change my mind. However, the witches are not done. I’ll leave it at that.

Are your books connected to each other? Yes. I keep my worlds inbred.

How can I keep up with new releases? Join the Gazette! Chester is very in the know and keeps immaculate records. And despite his claims of indifference, he loves to gossip.

Can I contact you? Absolutely! I love hearing from readers. Whether you want to tell me which character you love, complain about something Chester did, share a favorite quote, or just say hello, I’d love to hear from you! andriayonaauthor@gmail.com

Were the Witches of Whisper Grove previously published under a different pen name? Yes! The Witches of Whisper Grove was previously published under my former pen name. I chose to rebrand my books under two separate names so I could better distinguish my darker paranormal stories from my cozy paranormal mysteries. The Whisper Grove books are firmly in the cozy mystery camp—full of witches, mayhem, murder, magic, and, of course, Chester the cat—so I wanted them to have their own distinct identity. The stories you know & love are still the same stories, but they now have a new home under Andria Yona. Think of it as a fresh coat of paint on the front door of Winther House. The witches are still inside. 😉
